Victoria Wacha, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist Dr. Victoria Wacha is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults with OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, and adjustment issues. Dr. Wacha believes in a collaborative approach to therapy, and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for her clients to explore, evaluate, and affect positive change in their lives. She strives to help clients develop insight into who they are and to identify and challenge their beliefs, patterns of thinking, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to their current functioning. Through this approach, Dr. Wacha works with clients to change their unhelpful perspectives, develop effective coping strategies, gain insight, and accept situations beyond their control. Dr. Wacha has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with the full spectrum of anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, adjustment difficulties, and relational problems. Her clinical background includes treating clients in crisis centers, residential treatment centers, hospital outpatient departments, private practice, and a public high school. She is professionally trained in multiple therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and psychodynamic therapy. She has completed advanced training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), which is the gold standard of treatment for OCD. Dr. Wacha earned her BA in communications from the University of Arizona, her MA in counseling from New York University, and her doctorate degree in school psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona.
