Aly is committed to helping each child build confidence, emotional awareness, and effective coping skills in a way that honors their individual strengths and needs. In her clinical work, she integrates evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with adaptations for autism, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed skills. She places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, recognizing it as the foundation for meaningful growth and change. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and sensory-friendly environment where children feel understood and empowered. She believes that meaningful progress happens when caregivers are actively involved in the therapeutic process. Therefore, she works collaboratively with parents by providing guidance and practical strategies so they can effectively support their child outside of sessions. The goal being that parents feel confident as active partners in treatment. Aly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Master of Social Work from Columbia University. She also brings previous experience working as a School Social Worker in New York City public schools. In that setting, she supported students across a range of academic, social, and emotional needs and collaborated closely with educators and families. She also has experience working with diverse clients (children, adolescents, and adults) from her time at the Jewish Board Clinic. She even facilitated a neurodiversity teen group there. Outside of clinical work she enjoys running half and full marathons, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
