Timothy Meyer, LCSW

Timothy Meyer, LCSW is a psychotherapist and an EMDRIA-approved EMDR consultant & practitioner specializing in treating PTSD/trauma-related disorders, performance challenges, depression, and anxiety. He has particular expertise working with trauma survivors, athletes, and performers—supporting them through both healing and high-performance demands. Timothy works with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. He also serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at the Lukin Center.

Using evidence-based practices and theories, Timothy’s goal-oriented approach to therapy addresses each client’s unique concerns. Together, he and his clients collaborate to craft personalized treatment plans that target both emotional recovery and personal growth. His objective is to help clients feel better, function more effectively, and thrive in the roles that matter most—whether in everyday life or high-pressure performance settings.

Timothy has completed extensive training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR consultant. In this role, he provides consultation and clinical guidance to newer EMDR clinicians. He also has advanced training in hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and structural family therapy. He is particularly skilled in using EMDR to address performance-related difficulties—including sports performance—and has extensive experience working with elite athletes, performers, and individuals with complex PTSD.

Timothy earned his master’s degree (MSW) from Columbia University and his BA in psychology from Montclair State University.
