Jessyka Lombana, LCSW

Assistant Director of Clinical Operations,
Psychotherapist

Jessyka Lombana, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist in New Jersey and New York who works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.

Jessyka takes an individualized, collaborative, and relational approach to therapy. Her primary orientation is psychodynamic, informed by attachment theory, self psychology, and contemporary neuroscience. She incorporates practical tools from CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities to support clients in their day-to-day lives. Her work is also influenced by positive and existential psychology, especially with clients exploring purpose, fulfillment, and personal evolution.

Jessyka specializes in working with teenagers and young adults as they navigate emerging adulthood—identity development, academic pressures, shifting relationships, and the emotional work of becoming themselves. With adults, she supports a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and depression, relational and attachment challenges, family and generational dynamics, and the stress of life transitions. Jessyka places importance on understanding each person’s history, family system, and cultural context, honoring the individuality that shapes every client’s healing process.

Her clinical expertise includes anxiety and mood disorders, complex trauma, substance use, and relationship issues, as well as other emotional and behavioral challenges. Jessyka is certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and crisis intervention, and has received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. She has extensive experience working with clients facing suicidal ideation, intrusive thoughts, and problematic sexual behavior. Her background includes work in emergency care, inpatient hospitalization, outpatient services, and supportive housing.

A dedicated lifelong learner, Jessyka continually expands her clinical expertise through advanced training, supervision, study, and professional engagement. Jessyka is currently completing postgraduate training in Psychodynamic Clinical Practice at CPPNJ. She holds a Master of Social Work from New York University and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science from Montclair State University. In addition to her clinical practice, Jessyka serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at NJIT.
