David Weber, LSW Psychotherapist David Weber is a Licensed Master Social Worker in both New Jersey and New York specializing in grief and bereavement, family systems, and trauma-informed care. He brings particular expertise supporting individuals and families navigating profound loss, life transitions, and the emotional complexities that arise when identities, roles, and expectations are suddenly disrupted. Mr. Weber approaches therapy from the belief that people do not need to be “fixed”; rather challenges can be understood within the context of the individual’s unique history, environment, belief systems, and embedded patterns. His work is collaborative and individualized, emphasizing careful listening, emotional attunement, and respect for each person’s pace and path. He develops tailored treatment plans drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, helping clients build insight, regulate emotion, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change. His clinical experience includes individual and family therapy with adolescents and adults presenting with grief, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma exposure, relational conflict, and adjustment challenges. Mr. Weber has particular skill supporting individuals as they navigate the intersection of both loss and resilience, strengthening coping skills and communication across generations. In addition to his outpatient work, Mr. Weber serves as a program coordinator and facilitator with Comfort Zone Camp, a national organization providing peer-based grief support for children, teens, and young adults who have lost a parent or sibling. In this role, he facilitates experiential group programming that integrates narrative sharing, ritual, mindfulness, and peer connection to support emotional safety and healing. He is also a certified CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) instructor, with experience supporting individuals and systems during moments of heightened emotional distress.
