Jonathan Hesney, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in treating children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, relationship/family conflicts and autism spectrum disorders. 

As a therapist, Dr. Hesney is dedicated to empowering his clients through client-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches. With a supportive and non-judgmental focus, he prioritizes fostering trusting relationships to aid individuals in navigating psychological challenges. Dr. Hesney’s goal is to equip clients with coping skills and mindfulness techniques that illuminate the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through his practice, he endeavors to facilitate personal growth and resilience in the face of life’s complexities. 

Dr. Hesney’s career spans diverse professional roles aimed at supporting clients. As a School Psychologist, he facilitated programs for individuals facing severe behavioral and emotional challenges within public schools. His tenure as a Special Education Administrator involved building educational programs, advocating for students with disabilities, and supervising clinicians addressing mental health needs in children and adolescents. Additionally, as a psychotherapist in a Mental Health Clinic, he honed skills in providing therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents grappling with anxiety and depression. 

Dr. Hesney earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his Masters in School Psychology as well as his Psy.D. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
