Victoria Wacha, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Victoria Wacha is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist focused on treating adolescents and young adults with emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral disorders, family discord, anxiety, depression, and high-risk behaviors.

Dr. Wacha believes in a collaborative approach to therapy, and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for her clients to explore, evaluate, and affect positive change in their lives. She strives to help clients develop insight into who they are and to identify and challenge their beliefs, patterns of thinking, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to their current functioning. Through this approach, Dr. Wacha partners with clients to change their unhealthy perspectives, develop effective coping strategies, gain insight, and accept situations beyond their control.

With extensive experience in both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic modalities, Dr. Wacha provides individual and group therapy, as well as providing therapy to adults with anxiety, depression, and relational problems. Her clinical background includes treating clients in crisis centers, residential treatment centers, hospital outpatient departments, private practice, and a public high school. She is professionally trained in multiple therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused, structural family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered and psychodynamic therapy.

Dr. Wacha earned her BA in communications from the University of Arizona, her MA in counseling from New York University, and her doctorate degree in school psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona.
